Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.  (Marie Curie)

Recent COVID-19 outbreak caused stress and anxiety with increased confirmed cases worldwide and lockdown in many countries. People are advised to practice social distancing to prevent spread of infection.

Social media was flooded with the posts, tweets and comments of getting bored, homesick and depressed. Being stuck at a place with the fear of a pandemic is indeed something to be scared; meanwhile it’s the only safest option we have. One thing to remember in all this is we are not suffering alone but the world is suffering with us.

There are two types of people nowadays; quarantined with the family and quarantined alone in another city or country. Quarantine life with your family is a blessing in disguise. We were so busy with our education, job and career that we missed beautiful moments with our families.

Our parents won’t tell us they miss us more than a single “I miss you” text.  They sometimes need us but they never tell us because our priorities become their priorities and they don’t want us to stop achieving our goals.

Have you ever realized that you two were so busy in making money for your children that you forgot to spend quality time with them? This is the time to listen to your loved ones, say sorry, forgive and forget. Don’t forget the times when we almost begged for one extra leave.

If you’re alone or away from your family for education, job or any other purpose you can talk to them, tell them how much do you love them and make sure that you are safe. Don’t you think this is the right time to explore your hobbies as well? You were so passionate about photography, writing, painting, editing, sketching, stitching, knitting, cooking, baking, dancing, singing, gardening, blogging and reading but your hectic schedule never allowed you;

now is the time to live your dream. Give it a try; you never know your passion can become your profession. If you are a traveler, explorer, mountaineer and climber then wait and plan your trip. Now is the time to share your gallery with the world and motivate others.

Be grateful that you are safe and still have access to many things even during the lockdown. There are people around us who risk their health during these hard times so that they can make both ends meet. Take this time as a chance to serve humanity and spread smiles on helpless faces around you.

Now is the time to pay gratitude and explore your inner self. Now is the time to be kind and loving. Now is the time to share.  Now is the time to strengthen your faith. Now is the time to heal spiritually. Now is the time to worry less and live more. We will die one day anyway.
