WAR WITH VIRUSES | Coronavirus COVID-19

We have always heard about use of every kind of weapon in wars. It may range from simple hand grenade to nuclear bomb, which can cause mass scale destruction. These lethal weapons are used against enemies in war field. Good tactics and proper weapon are two important tools used to win a war against enemies.

But, unfortunately, all these weapons are ineffectual against the unique and universal enemy COVID-19. This weaponless enemy is the enemy of humans of whole world. By wearing the cloak of stealth, the viral military crosses the international boundaries among countries. It brings every single individual in defensive form. Every one in each corner of the world seems to be in position of self defense from the military of this invisible enemy. Here arises a question: why the whole world is scared from weaponless enemy? Why all effective weapons are ineffectual against nano-sized enemy? How it crosses the international boundaries without getting captured in their radar system? In order to answer these simple questions, it’s important to understand that, viruses are around us. We are constantly exposed to viruses and microorganisms, in air we breathe, things we touch and water we drink. Mostly they are harmless but some like COVID-19 can become contagious and ultimately kills us. These are a tiny agent that invade our body cells and hijacks the microscopic machinery of cells in order to produce their viral military. Then, they assemble their viral army which burst out the cell and thus, spreads the invasion throughout the body. The only weapon that can kill this lethal, novel pandemic nano-enemy is; vaccine and antibody treatment.

The present situation depicts that, the whole world including the millionaires, the mediocre and the poor are on one side of the game and nano-creature on other side of game. It seems like; virus is in mood of playing with the world. Till now the virus seems victorious. In this situation, everyone is looking towards the scientists and the researcher for inventing a weapon against the “enemy of all”. There is a ray of hope that, soon human will win the medal of victory by defeating lethal stubborn virus. But, we have to safe ourselves and others from their attacks by social distancing and following some simple hygienic principles recommended by WHO until the discovery of proper vaccines.
