Dubai-based carrier Emirates has launched a luxury private jet service offering chartered flights to almost anywhere in the world.

Up to 19 people can travel onboard the Airbus 319, which boasts ten private suites and a dining and executive lounge including two large sofas and four mechanically-activated tables.

The suites each feature a flat seat, 32” HD LCD TV screen, a shower spa, a heated floor, decorative serigraphy on mirrors and marble features and luxury, all-natural skincare products.

Customers also can customise their meals, or select from the existing Emirates menu.

The plane also includes Emirates’ in-flight entertainment (ice), as well as a live TV, video conferencing facilities and high-speed internet and mobile phone connectivity.

The personalised service includes short-notice bookings and a chauffeur driver.

Emirates Executive, a subsidiary of Emirates Airline that will manage the private jet, will target both individual and corporate customers, the company said in a statement on Monday.

Customers can book destinations beyond the Emirates network.

The A319 is a shortened-fuselage version of Airbus’ popular A320 single-aisle jet. When used commercially, it can seat between 124 and 156 passengers and travel up to 3,740 nautical miles, according to the Airbus website.

Emirates’ divisional senior vice president Adnan Kazim said the service would be highly sought after.

“We have seen an increasing demand in the private travel segment, especially in the Middle East and Europe as well as in markets such as India, Russia and China, and with Emirates Executive and the launch of its website, we are looking to tap into this niche market with the high-quality of service and attention to detail associated with Emirates,” Kazim said.

“Emirates Executive elevates the high standards and quality of Emirates that our customers have come to expect, with the flexibility and luxury that can only be offered by a private chartered flight.”

Details of the private jet, including a video of its features, can be viewed at the Emirates Executive website, where bookings also can be made.
