Whether you are traveling to California for business or pleasure, you must explore the San Diego Bay area which has a lot to offer. San Diego Bay is comprised of five cities, including San Diego, Chula Vista, Coronado, National City and Imperial Beach, and there are a number of beach activities for visitors can enjoy during their stay.

Chula Vista

Chula Vista, California is home to South Bay, multiple marinas and Chula Vista Yacht Club. If you’re looking to relax with some fishing or golf, you’ve come to the right city. Also in Chula Vista is the Olympic Training Center perhaps for the younger athlete. It is inclusive of softball, field hockey, track, cycling, tennis, soccer, kayaking, rowing and archery. There are also shopping and many cinema and theater opportunities in Chula Vista including but not limited to The Chula Vista Shopping Center, Sleep Train Amphitheater, and OnStage Playhouse.

Imperial Beach

Many activities, including beach volleyball, body boarding and surfing are popular at San Diego Bay Area’s Imperial Beach, which is approximately 4 miles of beachfront. While Imperial Beach is one of the county’s most popular surf spots (great for the more active traveler) it is connected to another beachfront city in San Diego Bay, Coronado, California, via a 7 mile skinny strand of land known as the silver strand which contains relaxing beaches for the leisure seeking traveler.

Coronado is home to Coronado beach, one of the finest beaches in the United States. Soak up some sun and relax on this beautiful beach. Whether you are here for business or vacation, pop on over to the Hotel del Coronado for some shopping in their secluded shops. The Hotel del Coronado has been named a National Historic Landmark and is truly a sight to see. While beautiful, Hotel del Coronado comes with a hefty price tag, consider staying at National City hotels near the beach instead to cut down on costs.
San Diego

San Diego is the second largest city in California and the eighth largest city in America. It is home to the San Diego Zoo, San Diego Zoo Safari Park, and SeaWorld San Diego. It is also home to many historic sites. While in San Diego, take a trip on a sightseeing cruise out of San Diego Bay or Mission Bay Port. Our budget-friendly hotel offers easy access to popular attractions like Petco Park, the Gaslamp Quarter, and the San Diego Convention Center Cheap Hotels near National City.

San Diego has also been known as the “Craft Beer Capital,” so if you’re a beer connoisseur, stop over to one of their main breweries such as Stone Brewing Company, AleSmith Brewing Company and Ballast Point Brewing Company, all located in San Diego Bay.

San Diego Bay has a lot to offer. From historic landmarks to leisurely sports to surfing beaches. Consider making your stay in San Diego an extended one by staying on a budget and saving your money for activities.
