Yes, it will just be the voice that will determine who the next singing superstar will be on ABS-CBN’s highly anticipated singing competition “The Voice of the Philippines.” In previous singing competitions in the country, it was not just vocal prowess that counted a lot but also looks and stories of the contestants.

The coaches are Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo, country’s Prince of Rock Bamboo Mañalac, Broadway Diva Lea Salonga and International Hip Hop Sensation apl.de.ap. All of them expressed pride, excitement and honor to have been chosen as coaches in this unique competition.

The show is known for its “blind auditions,” where the hopefuls sang onstage but with the coaches’s back on them. During this “blind auditions,” the coaches also selected who among the artists they want to be part of their respective teams, evaluating their performances based on the voice they heard.

“The Voice of the Philippines” is hosted by Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga with Robi Domingo and Alex Gonzaga as social media correspondents.

ABS-CBN bagged the exclusive right to air and adapt the worldwide hit franchise from Dutch-based Talpa Media Group. It joins 40 other countries around the world that localized it on TV, including the more popular US version of “The Voice” hosted by Carson Daly with current coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, and Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green replaced by Usher and Shakira in its latest season.
