Fitness and COVID-19 lockdown

The whole world is under a state of lockdown and people are limited to their rooms and are unable to get out. The pandemic has taken over 122 countries till now and there has been no vaccine or authentic medical solution to this disease. It keeps spreading and taking more people into its fold.

In this time when we don’t have a proper solution to this, we can still boost our immune systems and make sure our body has the ability to fight for itself against foreign agents. To make yourself healthy at home you must have a proper nutritious diet, intake of warm water, and exercise on a daily basis.

The Nutritious Diet


The nutritious diet consists of having a proper intake of proteins, carbohydrates, fiber, and other essentials. One must have pulses, eggs, and green as daily meal and fruits or it’s juices added to it as a cherry top. Fresh juices made at home are void of any bacteria and do good to your body in ways you cannot wonder. Juicy fruits keep your body hydrated and fresh. Greens and fruits are the basics you should cling onto while stuck at home but the quantity you take really matters. If you take greens and fruits at a rate exceeding your body demands than you are likely to create an excessive accumulation of that nutrient and that is a dangerous situation you should prevent. That is why every nutrient intake should be normal, not less, not more.

Water is an important component of the daily diet

One might not consider water as a very important component of daily diet but without water, your whole healthy diet routine would go useless. Water should be taken at a mild warm temperature because it instantly boosts your metabolic rate and prevents constipation. The more you drink water the more your skin would glow and it is the main component to exfoliate your pimple marks and stops them from oozing out of your skin.

As we all are limited to our homes there is a major chance for weight gain as we keep on eating and there is no routine work that lubricates your joints a little. Water intake helps you burn calories constantly as metabolism gets a push. As the symptoms of COVID-19 also include an attack on the throat and lungs, they should not be left rough and be kept moist by regular intake of water.

Besides the intakes we are required to take during this lockdown there is a little more to do with yourself. Daily exercise would add a bling to the nutrition intake. The people who were habitual of professional guidance like going to GYM now have the problem to maintain the same exercise at home. One thing that needed to be understood is that fitness is not a thing very difficult to be maintained and can be done easily at home. There are some very basic exercises that can be done easily. Push-ups, Squats, Sit-ups, static running, Planks and many more that you can choose to do. This way a healthy and more fresh version of you would come out after the lockdown is over.
