KABUL: President Hamid Karzai handed over a handwritten copy of the Holy Quran along with two other copies of the holy book to the National Museum.
The copy – 125 centimeters long and 100 centimeters wide – had been handwritten by Maulvi Bakht Jamal Alfi Tokhi, a religious scholar from Zabul province. The president had received the two other copies of the Holy Quran as a gift during his trip to Iran.
Hazrat Sebghatullah Mujaddedi and the Minister of Information and Culture, Sayed Makhdum Raheen, were also present on the occasion. Raheen bestowed another copy of the Holy Quran to the President.
