BRUSSELS – A four-year-old Filipino boy brought the house down with his “Gangnam Style” performance in the reality television contest, Belgium’s Got Talent.
Tristan Pangilinan received a standing ovation from two of the three judges of the show, as well as from the thousands who watched him dance to the music popularized by Korean superstar Psy.
Backed by cheers from the crowd, the Pinoy kid received the “yes” votes from the all three judges during auditions for 2013 aired last Friday.
The judges said Pangilinan is so far the youngest and the smallest contestant ever to audition in BGT. Yet, he managed to captivate the audience and the judges as well.
His mother, Francislyn Macasinag, said she never expected her son would make it in the auditions.
His father Marcial meanwhile appealed for the support of kababayans should his son advances to live show in December.
Instant YouTube Sensation
Because of Pangilinan’s remarkable performance, he became an instant hit on video sharing site, Youtube.
VTM’s official video of Tristan’s audition which was posted last week has now earned almost 2 million views.
The Philippine Embassy in Brussels encourages all Filipinos to unite and support Tristan in his journey to stardom.
