THE younger brother of Fast & Furious star Paul Walker has reportedly been asked to take his place in the final scenes of his last movie.

Walker was killed in the burning wreckage of a car crash two weeks ago, before the seventh installment of the Fast & Furious franchise had wrapped up filming.

According to the Mail Online, the star’s brother Cody Walker, 25, has been approached by Universal Pictures to step in for him.

The news site said the studio approached Cody because of his strong resemblance to the 40-year-old movie actor.

A source told the Mail Online: “They can shoot Cody from behind and at distance and if it’s a shot they need Paul’s face in close up they can CGI it later on.”

Walker was killed on November 30 when the Porsche he was travelling in hit a pole and tree and caught fire in Los Angeles. The Porsche was being driven by the Hollywood star’s friend and business partner Roger Rodas.

Universal Pictures shut down production on the Fast & The Furious 7 in the wake of Walker’s death.

In a statement the studio said: “At this time we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on Fast & Furious 7 for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise.

“We are committed to keeping Fast & Furious fans informed, and we will provide further information to them when we have it. Until then, we know they join us in mourning the passing of our dear friend Paul Walker.”
