Pakistan Is Crying For A New Masses Friendly Political System

14 years ago | Posted in: Articles | 1343 Views

A few days ago NEPRA disclosed that alarmingly high figure of 40% electricity is wasted in theft, which obviously, only 5% powerful and VIP people can do.

These 5% people of our total population, also neither pay any bills of gas and water, nor they pay any other tax, like our worthy Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, who is reported to have paid ZERO income tax. If an ordinary citizen delays bill payment, his connection is cut off, within no time.

Husband of our FM Hina Rabbani Khar, was given instalments of about 2000 years, for the power bill payments of his Textile mills in Jhang. Please tell me where the poor 95% of the nation should go; and who is going to wipe out their tears?

Was Pakistan created for 5% VIP’s? Every political party has been in power, but none could improve the lot of the poor people. Did Pakistani masses deserve this type of democracy, which is designed for the VIP’s? Doesn’t we deserve a New system?

No political party repeat no political party of Pakistan has included in their manifesto to abandon this decedent political system of the country.

The shortage crisis of all utilities in Pakistan stems from our VIP’s loot and plunder. Ironically, the burden falls on the poor people, who have to face the music of almost monthly rate increase of every energy item.

The beauty of this system lies in the fact that defaulters are the biggest beneficiaries and the best pay masters are the worst suffers.

So, it is high time the entire political system of Pakistan is re-vamped to basically attend to the needs of the teeming millions.

The new system should be simply based on the following guide lines, as stated by a poet in hos poem titled “Pakistan” in the year 1941.

On justice, fairplay, equity

Behold Pakistan’s quality

Won’t it stand till eternity?
