Emmanuel “Manny” Dapidran Pacquiao is a Filipino professional boxer and politician. He is the first and only eight-division world champion and ranked by Forbes as the second highest paid athlete in the world.
He was named “Fighter of the Decade” for the 2000s (decade) by the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA), World Boxing Council (WBC) and World Boxing Organization (WBO). He was regarded as the best pound-for-pound boxer for a long time but in April 2012, dropped to number two behind Floyd Mayweather, Jr. in analysts’ rankings. He is currently ranked #7 on the pound-for-pound list.
