The sun is up again, it’s another bright, sunny morning! I can feel the sparkling sun rays on my face with my eyes still closed. Yet, I am not in a hurry to get up as there is no need to get in super-active mode. Today is just like yesterday and so will be tomorrow. It’s out of the way, isn’t it?
Not just for me but for almost the whole world at the moment. Yes, it’s the period of world-wide lockdown which we are experiencing for the first time in the century. The whole world is stuck at their dwelling places with the fear of catching an incurable epidemic hurling just outside the doorsteps.
It is quite normal to feel hopeless and dejected in such an out of place situation. If you start panicking once or twice every 24 hours, it is quite understandable given the hype created by media stating ever-increasing death counts. Humans are like this. They are prone to their outer circumstances.
However, it is the inner strength that is needed the most to tackle the unfortunate incidences of the outer world. And to gain inner strength, we need a positive mindset by finding something hopeful in every daily situation. Though the fearful coronavirus has severe implications, the irony is that it has affected the richest and poorest nations just the same.
In other words, it has given the wisest lesson of human equality. Maybe, the Divine Power wanted to make us realize the pain of suppressed all around the world. Maybe, we are required to change our ways of living at a personal level, by seeding out the virus of selfishness and hatred from our souls. Well, it is up to each person how they perceive it all but I am perfectly sure that there is some kind of lesson hidden here that each and every one of us needs to reflect upon.
In fact, I strongly believe that social distancing is the perfect chance to amend our social and personal relationships for the coming days.
Most importantly; to keep a healthy mindset, we need to have a healthy body. It is the perfect time for us to engage in healthy indoor activities. We can complete all those pending household chores that we always kept on hold giving the excuse of lack of time. Also, the best way to strengthen the family bonds is doing little things together; whether it’s planting a new garden, painting your fences, organizing disheveled shelves, trying new dishes with your mom, or just having fun with your siblings.
Last, of all, it is highly essential to make a daily exercise routine because it is one of the best ways to boost immunity. Exercise doesn’t always need to be performed outdoors. Moderate room exercise for 25-30 minutes can just be as beneficial for refreshing your mind and body. So exercise daily, eat healthily, live happily, and learn to be an all-time optimist. Always keep in mind; we can win not only over COVID-19 but also our disoriented lifestyles during this time period. It’s just up to us how much effort we put into that!
