NSC discusses Pakistan rocket shelling into Kunar

KABUL: National Security Council (NSC) discussed recent cross Durand Line rockets shelling, here on Sunday.
A plenary session of the NSC was chaired by President Hamid Karzai, where the Minister of Defense Bismillah Mohammadi briefed the participants of the meeting on recent security situation of Afghanistan. The minister voiced his grave concerns over recent rocket firings from other side of the de facto Durand Line into Kunar province. He said that Afghan forces were ready to retaliate the enemy with tit-for-tat response.
The minister of interior said that police have recently taken action on use of tinted glasses in vehicles and arms’ license in Kabul city. The NSC directed the ministry to extend the process to other provinces of the country.
Later, Muhammad Alem Rasekh, a presidential advisor in tribal and social affairs briefed the meeting on killing of civilians in house fires in Zaghan and Qalai Niazbeg villages of Pashton Kot district of Faryab province.
It is worth mentioning that Pakistani forces once again fired around 30 rockets into Shegal and Dangam districts of Kunar.
