We delineate education as learning and studying, but in actual we are oblivious of the significance of education. Education is the basic need of today’s life as it provides you food, refuge, a hale and hearty life and above all maintains the character building. It is indispensable part of life both individually and socially. Education is a form of learning which guides one through the attitudes and norms of society. It is a form of learning in which the knowledge, skills and behavior of a group of people are transferred to the next generation through teaching, learning and research. Education is a rope that can carry us to greatness. It is one of the most important things in life because without education you can’t contribute to the world or earn money. Knowledge is power, so when you know what you can do, you can go that mile further.

The word education is derived from the Latin word education (A breeding, a bringing up, a rearing). Education plays an important role when it comes to defining and scheming a society. Justice, food and shelter are now dependant on the education. Education makes man, a man. Almost, every religion has focused on the seeking and learning of education. Education makes a difference between a man’s biological existences and social importance. It gives us knowledge that makes us different from the rest of world. Someone said, “Education is a controlling grace to the young, consolation to the old wealth to the poor and ornament to the rich”. It proves fruitful to every field of life and discipline of society and it helps the nation in every possible way. In short education is one of the pre-requisites of progress for any nation.

Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.”

Gone are the days when nations with most manpower and greatest warriors were considered the best on the surface of earth. Today the education is the power to rule the world and this is a known fact now. No nation can grow better and prosperous without education. Education encourages transparency, high-quality governance, constancy and helps fight against graft and corruption. The impact of investment in education is profound: education results in raising income, improving health, promoting gender equality, mitigating climate change, and tumbling poverty. Education is an important human activity. It was born with the birth of the human race and shall continue to function as long as the human race lives. An individual is made up of different entities. Education brings about the integration of these separate entities.  Education is a sign of superiority. Aristotle wrote, “Educated men are as much superior to uneducated as the living are to the dead.” In short, education is an essential concomitant of all human societies. “What sculpture is to a block of marble, education is to the soul”, says Addison.
