Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao have weighed in below the welterweight limit in front of 11,500 fans at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao stepped on the scales first, weighing in at 145lbs – two beneath the welterweight limit – as the crowd cheered.
Mayweather weighed in ahead of Saturday night’s fight – the richest event in boxing history – at 145lbs.
The fighters then stared each other down, and Pacquiao thanked his opponent.
“(I was) thanking him for the fans that the fight will happen,” Pacquiao told the crowd.
“I believe that the fight must happen because the fans deserve it.”
Mayweather said: “I’ve dedicated myself to the sport of boxing for over 20 years, and I’m ready.”
