LAILA Ali has delivered an absolutely stunning takedown of Floyd Mayweather after he disrespected her father Muhammad, calling the unbeaten champion “a broken person”.

Mayweather has repeatedly claimed to be a greater boxer than Ali during the lead-up to his superfight against Manny Pacquiao, taking his claims into ugly territory by questioning the legacy of the man widely regarded The Greatest Of All Time.

While Mayweather was subject to a vicious personal takedown from foe Mike Tyson yesterday, Laila Ali – herself an unbeaten boxing champion – has delivered an eloquent riposte that was not heated or nasty. It was simply perfect.

She began by saying she believed Mayweather should think himself a greater fighter than Muhammad Ali, given his standing as an unbeaten future Hall Of Famer. She politely disagreed – and then she took him apart in a flawless character dissection.
