The Holy Quran has 114 chapters and each chapter has a title. As i was reading Surah Nahl Meaning the honey bee and Surah Naml meaning an ant, i wondered to how Allah had given such high prestige to these lowly creatures, by naming a surah after them.
I decided to look for details and to know more about these lowly insects. I found out that a honey bee is a wonderful creation of God.The honey bees are all so united and organized. They move together in a group of thousands, in search of blooming gardens .
These swarms move from one place to another in search of gardens as thier habitations, they are controlled and guided by the queen bee. All the bees are given differrent assignments by the queen bee, some bees are responsible for finding shelter in trees. They have bee scouts to lead the swarms. Some of the bees are given the responsibility of taking care of the the little bees and the eggs.The prime duty of these bees is to take care of the dependent little bees and to feed them. Some of the bees take care of their queen, as she has the main duty of feeding all the bees, making wax and to guide them in making hives. This is a superb example of organisation and management of a small unit, in which they set an example of sharing, caring unity and strength in work.
The bees as it is stated in Quran are Commanded by Allah to produce honey of differrent colors, for the benefit of man. So united and devoted are they in their work. IT FOR A HUMAN BEING TO LEARN. Ants like honey bees, work together in large groups. They make beautiful tunnels under the ground. like little architects these tunnels are the habitation of thousands of their fellow ants. Like the honey bees they are divided into groups by the queen ant. every ant colony has a head ant to guide them. Ants share divided responsibility. Some of the ants have the important duty of searching for food for their colonies. They come out of their burroughs for search of food.
These ants travel in trails, following each other so that no ant is lost during the search. Ants are seen in trails for this reason, ants save food for the rainy days to feed all ants. THe most important duty of an ant is to feed their young ones and to take care of their eggs. God has blessed these lowly creatures with such great intelligence. The bees and the ants are so devoted, united and organised in their work. Their whole concentration is on sharing, caring and feeding the dependents. The heads of these insects have been given the knowledge to manage guide and to take care of their subordinates. No wonder the chapters were named Nahl and Naml. We human beings have a lot to learn from these lowly creatures.To work for the good of mankind.
To protect the weak. To provide shelter and food to every one. To be honest and hard working in our ways and means, Where ever we are- What ever we are-Who ever we are- These are the teachings of the Holy Quran- Bible -and the Tauret To protect -To feed-To provide shelter to the whole Mankind and to take care of the weak and little. MAY We learn something from these little insects . May we undestand . Next time you see bees making a hive or ants travelling in a trail do not disturb them . they do it for a cause which we HUMAN BEINGS have yet to learn.
