The Mad Friday rush will of course be a totally different chapter.
As we walked across the halls of the Spring Edition of Gitex Shoppers, we were [as always] surprised by the sheer mass of customers even on a working day. So here are some of the best deals that GITEX Shopper has to offer so far. Mind you, tomorrow’s a brand new day, with even more logic-defying freebie stunts.
It’s proof enough that the iPhone is becoming an everyman’s device. Buy the Nikon D3200 Kit for AED 3999, and you get an iPhone 4, 500GB Hard Drive and a 7” tablet @Jackys
Toshiba is offering their 58” 4K 3D LED TV, 58L9300 at AED 13,999, and you get a Toshiba 39” LED TV, an 8GB iPhone 4 and 2 3D Glasses. @Jackys
This might be small change compared to last years’ BMW 3 Series stunt, but who’s complaining? Hisense gets into form, offering the 65″ 4K UHD TV for a mere AED 10,999. Plus you get freebies like a Nikon D3300 with 18-55 lens, and the Denon Cocoon. @Sharaf DG
Hisense is also offering the dual sim Pure 1 smartphone, which has a 5.5” HD IPS screen, 8MP cam with a 1.5GHz quad core at AED 1799, plus you get a free Nikon D3100 worth 1999@ Jumbo
Interestingly, the same Nikon D3100 + 18-55 lens is selling elsewhere for AED 2299, and in your freebie kit you get an Apple iPad Mini and a Nikon School training session worth AED 500.@SharafDG
Again on the Nikon D3100, when you buy any Mac or Sony Viao product worth over AED7000, add AED 500, and you get the Nikon D3100 ‘totally’ free @Jumbo
The next item is not exactly a deal, but an interesting element. 0% instalment schemes are something most banks offer. Mashreq Bank in the UAE has offered something special for GITEX Shopper. Bad puns apart, the deal is this: the money you swipe your card will automatically be converted to a 0% payment plan. Meaning no more frantic calls post the purchase, clarifying personal details et al. Just don’t overdo it.
On the home front, Italian company Campomatic is offering their Top Mount fridge 360 litre for AED 1999, in your takeway bag, you also get a free Campomatic Stainless 60×60 gas cooker with a Campomatic water dispenser. @SharafDG
Now this one’s a compact camera, the Fujifilm FXS4800, its priced at AED 999, and you get a 32” Eurostar LED TV free @Jackys
Buy the Nikon D3300 for AED 3149, and you get free Lumia 520, Lenovo Yoga tablet, wireless adaptor, 8 GB memory card, Nikon training voucher, Nikon editing software @SharafDG
Now this is quite a discount. The LG EA9700, the worlds first curved OLED TV, was 32, 499, now its being offered at a mere AED 19,9999. Plus you get a free LG Soundbar worth 1799 @Plug Ins
With every TV or DSLR, a Sony 500GB hard disk, Sennheiser wireless headphones, Brother Laser printer, Backpack, Tripod, and te usual memory card @Jumbo:
Honda is the official car of the GITEX Shoppers 2014, so it makes sense that every day, a Limited edition Honda accord DX 2014 cards is being given away in the Official GITEX Shoppers raffle
Chevrolets got into the action, in tune with Nokia. When you buy any Nokia product during GITEX Shopper, you get a chance to win a Chevrolet Trax.
Like we said, tomorrow’s another mad, mad day. Watch this space.
