Nandita Das, social activist and the first Indian woman inducted into International Women’s Forum Hall of Fame for Arts, in Stockholm expressed her belief that Modi’s success will inject hatred in Indian politics and state policies. She also exposed the fact that she, along with her son, was threatened to leave for Pakistan as she criticized Modi.
During the election campaign, Modi warned that the meat industry was running Indian nation. Now if the meat industry could ruin a nation, then USA, UK, Canada, China, KSA, Europe etc were ruined long before. Apart from the Hindu majority, India has various minorities e.g. Christians, Sikhs, Muslims that are big meat consumers, on the contrary, Hindus do not eat meat of cow as they consider it holy and worship able. As per Hindu religious scriptures, cow eaters will dwell in hell as many thousands of years as for each hair on the cow body. Now when Modi, a vegetarian and extremely religious Hindu, could not restrict others from eating cow, he simply camouflaged his anger against cow eaters in an excuse that meat industry will ruin India.
In addition, during the election campaign, Modi had promised that there will be no place for Bengalis in India if he is elected. Hatred and antagonism against Bengali Muslim was so extreme that on 2 May 2014, Bodo ethnic group, who always shared intense enmity against Bengali background Muslim residents of India, killed 32 Muslim villagers in northeast Indian state of Assam. How sad it was that Modi wasn’t elected yet and violence on ethnic basis started up in Assam.
Moving ahead, on 19 April 2014, BJP leader from Bihar, Giriraj Singh whilst addressing a gathering in Godda district of Jharkhand, stated that those giving opposition to Modi will be residing in Pakistan as there will be no place for them in India if Modi was elected. Now it wasn’t democracy but drama-cracy where the opposition was threatened to be exiled, but the fact is that many Hindus believed that Modi’s success had restored lost Hindu Glory and sovereignty after many centuries.
Modi, an extremist of RRS, was behind BJP’s historical success against Congress and other political parties in Indian general election May 2014 otherwise BJP wasn’t some extra-ordinary party. In Gujrat-India there were such centers that, on daily basis in masses, promoted and injected Hindu nationalism or Hindutva i.e. India is for Hindus and everybody should convert into a Hindu, thus, the very mindset wasn’t any different than Al-Qaida or Boko Haram that wanted to see 360 degree view of personal state around them. In civilized world and a civilized state, nobody should have been threatened to leave and nobody should have been persecuted for having different faith or for having a so-called “Base-Birth”. As per Hindu Holy Scripture Manu Smriti, which is considered word of Brahma, lower caste Hindus weren’t considered Hindu at all—they were declared “base born”—study of Hindu religious scriptures was banned for Sudras.
How sad it was that the democratically elected people, i.e. Narendra Modi, were no more different than cruel monarchs or dictators, who wanted to establish a totalitarian state. Such mindsets needed to be controlled otherwise it will convert into expansionism aligned with fascism, moreover, suppression of opposite school of thought through power, terror, and extremism was 180 degree opposite to democratic mindset where everybody had cherished his rights.
Effects of Modi’s success will not be domestic only as the rise of Modi in India will also help in raising religious extremists in Pakistan, where extremism already was a major force rather problem. Oppression of opposition and ethnic persecution was peculiarity of Nazi doctrine but both Hindu Nationalists and Muslim extremist had also incorporated the said Nazi characteristics, which had made them sort of neo-Nazi. Indians had the right to choose anybody whom they liked, but few questions needed to be addressed in advance i.e.
Is there any new script for subcontinent of a new great game being written?
Will Hitler be standing against Hitler in subcontinent?
Are Indians going to endure Hindutva as Syrians are enduring Salafism?
Is the Subcontinent going to witness fight between Islam and Hinduism?
The answers appear to be yes as Hindutva doctrine dictated that India is for Hinduism only and every non-Hindu either leave India or become Hindu, on the other hand, Islamists believed that only Islam will be the religion of the world and no polytheist will be spared. Thus, two religious extremes will be fighting a cowboy duel soon in the subcontinent. The problem is this that two political extremes can negotiate and can find common grounds but two opposite religious extremes will never be negotiating as both entities will believe that having common grounds will destroy their faith. Thus, are India and Pakistan going to enjoy war of faiths? Previously political and military entities from both sides have exploited sentiments of both nations but now the religion has jumped into the ring also, therefore, the answer will be yes.
West was associated with human rights protection and freedom but if human rights were stripped off by the very West, then how one could be called civilized and first world when human rights violation was exclusively associated with third world only? France’s far-right National Front party leader Marine Le Pen, on 4 Apr 2014, expressed her commitment that her party will prevent schools from providing pork free meals to Muslims and Jewish students. Democratically elected leader expressed her undemocratic views as her party won control of 11 towns and over 1,400municipal seats nationwide in local elections, now if such kind of views would have been expressed by some Muslim state against non-Muslims then the West would have bashed the state nonstop form minority persecution. Moreover, Le Pen’s party, during election campaign, ignited anti-immigration and anti-EU sentiments for election success. Prior in 2011, France, through a controversial law had banned full face veil where Muslim women were even fined over Hijab issue.
Seeing totalitarian doctrine of Far-right party, topless women whilst having painted slogans on their bare chests “fascist epidemic” and “down with the fascist union”, turned up at the head of the rally that was led by National Front leader Marine le Pen and her father Jean-Marie.Le Pen later declared Foemen as “hysterical leftist cult” and asserted that France faced EU’s noxious actions and France needed to recover its freedom and sovereignty.
“I call on all people, especially political, civic and religious leaders, to strongly condemn messages and ideas based on racism, racial superiority or hatred as well as those that incite racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance.” [1]
If situations of both France and India are compared with the situation of the KSA, which is often criticized for human rights violation and had declared protestors and atheist as terrorist in April2014, then there will appear no difference in any of them apart from the difference of name.
Thus, when it comes to an extreme totalitarian doctrine, then there appeared no difference amongst world’s biggest democracy India, first world France, and Saudi kingdom that is considered cruel monarchy by many.
