We discussed the renewable energy Market globally and specially in Middle East with Asad Murad, who is expert in renewable energy market of Middle east …
1: Tell Us About your self ?
Answer: My roots are from Yemen’s Murad Tribe, I was born in Pakistan and when I was 4 years old my family moved to U.A.E in 1986, I have my education in IT Majors and MBA in Marketing.
2: Why Renewable Energy Sector is so crucial?
Answer: Electricity generation is the second leading cause of industrial air pollution in the World. Most of our electricity comes from coal, nuclear, and other non-renewable power plants. Producing energy from these resources takes a severe toll on our environment, polluting our air, land, and water. Renewable energy is energy derived from natural resources that replenish themselves over a period of time without depleting the Earth’s resources. These resources also have the benefit of being abundant, available in some capacity nearly everywhere, and they cause little, if any, environmental damage. Energy from the sun, wind, and thermal energy stored in the Earth’s crust are examples. For comparison, fossil fuels such as oil, coal, and natural gas are not renewable, since their quantity is finite—once we have extracted them they will cease to be available for use as an economically viable energy source. While they are produced through natural processes, these processes are too slow to replenish these fuels as quickly as humans use them, so these sources will run out sooner or later, So the question I have to ask is What are we doing to safeguard the natural habitat of our young generation and generations to come and Why not Renewable Energy?

3: What inspired you to be part of Renewable Energy Sector?
Answer: I stepped in Renewable Energy Market of U.A.E in year 2016 and ever since United Arab Emirates has established itself as a regional leader in solar power in part because of its greater ability to adopt the technology (both domestically and through partnerships with other countries) and to fund projects throughout the world and when I look back and see the multitude of opportunities that we have created and the way we have contributed in healing of our planet for our generations to come keeps me going, I mean we all are unique and special in our own way in this circle of life and it really matters what positive difference we can make to make this world a better place and be remembered for years to come with a mentionable legacy.

4: How can Renewable Energy Sector benefit our daily life as we know it?
Answer: If we were to assess our progress based upon Kardashev Scale as a civilisation, we are not even a type 1, because progress of every developed and developing civilisation lies in their production/harnessing and meeting/exceeding energy demands without killing the planet or harming the inhabitants, Our energy demands are increasing with every passing second and by investing in R&D of alternate, efficient, cheap energy sources we can assure our technological, social and financial growth, If we are to enter the age of digital transformation we have to get rid of fossil fuels, Period.

5: What are the odds of achieving Renewable Energy goals amid socio political issues in 2020?
Answer: I understand that year 2020 has been hard on everyone but let’s take it as an opportunity to rethink our priorities, the nations who will focus and invest in their renewable energy sector shall thrive and prosper in every aspect of life, and this great reset wants to talk to us in many ways if we only take off the glasses of capitalism and try to listen and observe, If we as a species do not stand united in this initiative, I am afraid our future generations will be dragged into stone age.

6: How are you contributing towards Renewable Energy Sector?
Answer: I have been involved in Renewable Energy Sector on various positions with many international and local firms, I facilitate my client’s by connecting them with service providers those are specific to Renewable Energy Sector and thus I assist my mission of creating opportunities, introducing new talent in the industry, contributing in economic growth of the country, spreading awareness of clean energy and it’s long-term benefits upon our home (earth).

7: Where do you see your region Renewable Energy Sector in next 10 years?
Answer: As per my analysis I see that Middle East will take the lead in renewable energy market and they would be able to achieve 70% of their clean energy goals, I see there is lot of renewable energy potential in countries like Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, India, and SriLanka, the way renewable energy market is booming I foresee a very bright future ahead of us.

8: Which energy source you consider to be more efficient?
Answer: Thorium reactors are a different way to generate electricity that could benefit the world. More efficient than their fossil fuel counterparts, safer than a conventional nuclear plant, and generating no carbon emissions as a by-product, LFTRs (liquid fluoride thorium reactors) are a viable solution for the future of our world’s energy needs. The public stigma about nuclear is real, and that must be overcome first before lawmakers will take action, as money needs to be allocated for research and development to continue on LFTRs globally. Without public and scientific support, it will be difficult to move forward with this technology. Education is needed to help push the agenda for thorium, spread information about thorium-based reactors, and educate the public about their safety. Resources to learn more about thorium and LFTRs include websites such as The Independent Global Nuclear News Agency and World Nuclear News, or conferences such as the Thorium Energy Conference, Save the planet or save the fossil fuel based economies, choice is ours.

9: What global future do you envision?
Answer: I envision a planet that is clean, green, safe and healthy, no war, full of social justice and all about exploring every dimension of knowledge in universe, I want us to be an intergalactic species and explore our share in infinite.

10: If you have the authority over three wishes, what would be those?
Answer: I want free quality education for every one, I want free electricity for every household, I want free 5G internet on every inch of globe, Is that too much to ask for?

11: With what message would you like to conclude this conversation?
Answer: I believe we as a human can achieve the unachievable if only we keep our differences aside and work together as a one strong global faction for the love of knowledge, Multiverse is not just a hypothesis and so do alien civilisations, Aristotle said ‘No genius has ever existed without some touch of madness’, So stay in touch and never let that genius die in you, we were not born to pay bills and die!
