This world has a variety of culture. The most diversified and appealing theory of this world is traditions and cultures. Have you ever wondered, what makes people and the region they are living in different from each other? Of course, the values and traditions they follow.

This world consists of 249 countries (as per Wikipedia), each country has a wide range of culture and traditions. Culture is something that defines us, it’s a foundation of who we really are. Culture includes vast range of values in itself , like, religion, lifestyle, traditions, occasions, dressing, food, music , sports, etc. we learn culture from the day we are born, our family teaches us, our educational institutes teach us, our friends and social circle teach us. Culture, therefore symbolizes the values we possess in life.

I would love to introduce you to a very interesting culture of Hunza Valley situated in northern Pakistan. It’s a mountainous valley which was formerly a princely state until 1974.

People of Hunza are also called Hunzakuts, they speak Wakhi and Shina. They have their own special dances, dishes , dresses , beautifully hand-woven hats.

They have a very healthy diet, they eat many vegetables grown on their own. They eat natural whole foods unprocessed by preservatives or additives. Their diet is mostly raw or half cooked. They also eat plenty of fruits like Mulberry, Cherry, Apple, Peach are found growing in Hunza. They drink and bathe in glacier water flowing down from mountains. They have a very special dish called FITTIS, it’s a cake of wheat, milk , butter, baked on hot stone.

Their women wear hand woven hats and a light shawl over it, with baggy pants and long loose shirt.
