A dream is not meant to be dreamed forever; instead, it’s meant for you to work hard and smart enough until success wakes you up from dream.
In today’s rapidly evolving world, work is the basic facet of life. You need to work, either to make a living, passion to do better or self-validation. Organizations nowadays want you to work smartly to reduce time and cost for efficient results. But then what does hard work pays?
Working hard gives experience, insightful knowledge of tasks and problems. It instils patience and disciplines the worker. Whereas, smart work makes one use innovative and creative thing strategies, improves productivity by reducing time cost. It is more intellectual, but the strategies to cut short time can only be developed when one has the comprehensive understanding of task, which is gained through hard work and experience.
You cannot merely rely on working smartly, in may reduce time but it may not produce the desired yield if strategy is not optimized. Smart strategies are designed through experience and hard work. On the other hand hard work becomes monotonous and boring, so as the interest may be lost over time. It takes lot of time, effort and patience to reach the finish line through hard work.
Smart work is often misunderstood as less work, which in actual is output of tiring hard work. Hard work gives you unlimited sense of fulfillment and achievement but it needs to be amalgamated with smart work to accomplish responsibilities timely and effectively. One can learn from experience and fallouts of predecessors to devise a smart strategy. Working smart enough is modern version of survival of fittest; it is finding the finest strategy possible for a given time frame with best results and least shortcomings.
Never confuse effort with effectiveness, which does not in any case means not to make an effort. Focus on given tasks diligently and make a plan of action worthy enough of sacrifice. Work done with passion is praiseworthy. Passion is the driving force for self-improvement which is the why you work either hard or smart enough. Work passionately, patiently and persistently.
Whether one works hard or smart, those who are truly determined will find a way to achieve their goals. Both go hand in hand; effort is what differentiates between winners and quitters. Whatever the strategy is, work passionately. Effort is important, but knowing where to make an effort makes all the difference. Combine hard and smart work to achieve resourcefully. Strive forward with passion and sense of improvement, which will make you an individual to look up to.
