Former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf has been charged with murder in connection to the assassination and killing of Benazir Bhutto.

As well as being charged with murder, the former president has also been charged with conspiracy to murder, as well as facilitation of murder by prosecutors.

Musharraf denied the charges, with the case being adjourned to August 27.

Musharraf has faced a host of legal problems ever since he returned to Pakistan in the hopes of running for office, he was arrested back in April, and has been under house arrest ever since then.

As well as now facing murder charges over the death of Benazir Bhutto, he also faces charges and investigations into corruption, and subverting the Pakistani constitution.
