Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton have reported they earned more than $25m (£16m) in speaking fees since last year.
Mrs Clinton’s presidential campaign said she and her husband were paid the sum for more than 100 speeches between January 2014 and May 2015.
She also earned more than $5m from her memoirs published last year, Hard Choices, her campaign reported in a financial disclosure to the Federal Election Commission.
President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, meanwhile, reported in their own financial disclosure filing that they have $1,001 in a savings account.
The Clintons paid an effective tax rate of more than 30% in the 2014 tax year, a Clinton campaign official said.
She has been presenting herself as a champion of American working families as she starts her second White House campaign, but the Republicans and some liberals will seize on her millions to portray her as out of touch.
During last year’s book tour, Mrs Clinton was ridiculed after claiming her family was “dead broke” when they left the White House in 2001.
Some critics believe she is too closely allied with Wall Street to address the yawning income inequality gap in the US.
