The western part of the United States offers vacationers a range of opportunities to commune with nature and enjoy more sophisticated amusements. Grand Canyon – Arizona

The geysers of Yellowstone National Park are one of the most visited attractions by vacationers to the area. San Diego, California

If your timing is right, you can also see the Bat Flight, when hundreds of thousands of bats come to the caverns. Or take in the Night Sky Show, with a talk given by park rangers. You can also visit the nearby Living Desert Zoo and Gardens State Park, as well as other attractions.
Columbia River Gorge, Oregon
For spectacular scenery and a host of outdoor activities for adults and kids, the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon offers a family vacation to remember. With hiking mountain trails to waterfalls, fishing, kayaking, whitewater rafting and zip-line courses, the Columbia River Gorge area provides activities for every member of the family.
