Here’s one vehicle guaranteed to make you stand out from the crowd.

Comic book fans with a spare £90,000 in the bank can drive like the Caped Crusader with their very own road legal Batmobile.

The slick black replica, which comes with a fully operational flame thrower and hydraulic suspension, is set to be auctioned on November 30 at Mercedes-Benz World in Brooklands, Surrey.

Inspired by the car used in Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman, the rear- wheel drive Batmobile can reach a speed of 60mph in less than five seconds.

Edward Bridger-Stille, from Historics auction house, said: ‘The car is like a dream for any Batman fan. It brings traffic to a standstill with people wanting to be photographed by it.

‘It is a smooth driving car however there’s not a lot of all-round vision – it’s a bit like a fighter jet in that sense.’

He added: ‘But it also quite quick thanks to its lightweight fibreglass body and should be capable of 0-60mph in less than five seconds.

‘This vehicle is believed to be one of the best after-production, fully road-legal models ever made.’

Earlier this year, the original TV Batmobile was sold for £2.3million.
