International Conference for Peace “Our future is to live together – Religions and Cultures in Dialogue”, organized by the Catholic organization Sant’Egidio in Rome, will be held in Sarajevo on 9 to 11 September. Announced the participation of more than four thousand representatives of churches and religious communities from around the world.
The goals of interfaith conference Anatolia news agency said the president of the Croatian Cultural Society advances Franjo Topic, which is involved in the organization of this great event in Sarajevo.
“Introductory talk will take place as hosts Roman Catholic Archbishop Cardinal Vinko Puljic, Reis Mustafa Ceric, the Patriarch of Belgrade and will address and someone in front of the Jewish community,” said the Topic.
He confirmed that the main speakers will be President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy, President of the Italian government Mario Monti and President of the Presidency Bakir Izetbegovic, and assumed that he would speak Croatian President Ivo Josipovic.
The Conference will be organized different panels on topics of inter-religious dialogue in different parts of the world.
“What is important is that the reason why the conference held in Sarajevo, marking 20 years since the war,” said Topic.
At a conference in Sarajevo will attend, according to the Topic, 15 heads of state, and several religious leaders.
“The message is that the conference of politicians, government officials and religious leaders should live together, and achieve unity,” Topic said, adding that the conference wants to get to know the present less arguing after drinking coffee, talk and share their opinions.
“Reducing tension in interpersonal relationships is one of the expected outcomes of this conference,” Topic said in an interview with Anatolia.
Before the official opening of the conference, “Our future is to live together – Religions and Cultures in Dialogue” on Saturday 8.septembra will be held religious ceremonies in Sarajevo cathedral, which, in the words of Topica, is likely to be continued in the Islamic community.
