Human society has been changing shapes since it has been created. Evolution and revolutions have always been the key traits to civilizations. These are not only necessary in terms of economic, social and cultural developments but also in changing and reshaping of human minds and ideas. Societies have always faced several flaws even when they boasted to belong from the most cultured civilizations. These negative points were although not so great compared with the plus points of those highly developed and mutually interacting societies.
There has been a drastic change in geography of Earth during the past century not only in terms of change of map of the world but also demography as well. A huge increase in world population has been a major factor for the depletion of natural resources and hence the social issues that are most prominent these days. Some people think that the evils of a society have nothing to do with the number of people but they do. Population increase has a direct relationship with the economy and decline in economic growth deprives people of the basic necessities. When they can’t get what they want or need they opt out shortcuts and back-doors to fulfill their desires.
Many critics write much about the changing of society and compare it with the blind alley where there are no chances of betterment. Such pessimistic views are annoying and sometimes make people despair. They always talk about what is going on in the society, who has done what and condemn the crimes. Almost similar is the case with our politicians; they just give a recorded message in order to condemn any negative act but no one even bothers to care why it all happened? If Chief Justice dares to take some action against some serious issue but all goes in vain like Shahzeb murder case. 2% elite class always takes away the rights of the remaining 98%. How will this all end then?
However, that was a special case. Talking about some ordinary things, street crimes, thefts, bribery and many other social evils are common and no one ever notices. From the guards to the most senior officer of any department are involved in the act of corruption. I don’t know what makes a highly educated officer to be corrupt? Low and middle class people can be justified by the thing that there are several good things like good education for their children that they want to get and hence are easily tempted to bribery. That is a systematic fault. We have different standards for different people. Here the actual problem lies. If all people could get education at same standards, eat the same kind of food and ride on the same type of vehicles, these problems might have been lowered if not non-existent. But there is a hell difference between our upper and lower class. This difference causes the poor to stand against the rich for their rights and put up a fight in a very negative way.
The need of the hour is that the government should intervene in order to ensure the proper distribution of capital among the individuals in the society. System also needs to be standardized and laws must be obeyed by every citizen in order to proceed to a prosperous future.
