KABUL: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) officials have offered condolence to victims of landslide in remote northeastern Badakhshan province of which left thousands of people dead.
The NDS following a statement said Saturday that the NDS employees have pledged Afs2 million in aid to victims of the tragic incident.
The source added the aid is comprised of salaries of NDS employees who are deeply saddened by the tragedy.
Afghan intelligence employees also pledged additional aid of Afs600,000 for Jawzjan flood victims, another Afs600,000 for Sar-e-Pul victims and Afs300,000 for Badghis flood victims.
The source mentioned that the aid would be provided to the victims of the natural disaster in coming few days.
The NDS employees had also pledged Afs200,000 in aid to each family of the 21 Afghan national army soldiers who were brutally killed following an attack in eastern Kunar province.
According to local officials in Badakhshan province, over 2,000 people are feared dead after two separate landslides hit a village in Argo district on Friday.
