The UAE on Monday announced that Thursday, September 13, will be observed as a holiday on account of the Islamic New Year.
“Thursday, September 13, will be a holiday for ministries and federal agencies in the country,” a WAM announcement said.
The first day of the Islamic New Year — Muharram 1, 1440 — will be announced after moon sighting in the country. This UAE announces holiday for Islamic New Year 2018 is a good effort by the government.
