MOSCOW, July 6 (UPI) — The head of Russian aluminum producer Rusal is giving his $3 million bonus to 120 Rusal employees, the company said.
Rusal Chief Executive Officer Oleg Deripaska is listed by Forbes magazine as worth about $8.5 billion. He has been the head of the company since 2009.
Rusal said the giveaway was a one-time deal for the staff, the BBC reported Saturday. The number of shares the $3 million will purchase amounts to 0.05 percent of the total shares in issue, the report said.
The company — one of the world’s largest aluminum producers — employs 72,000 workers in 19 countries.
