An orphaned Kangaroo has become so attached to her adoptive human father that she now rarely leaves his side.

Pebbles’ mother died when she was seven months old, so zoo keeper Luke Simmonds decided to take her under his wing until she was old enough to live with the other kangaroos.

Since then the two have become inseparable and often enjoy sitting in front of the television together at Ballarat Wildlife Park in Victoria, Australia.

Pebbles sometimes even climbs into a sack while watching her favourite programmes so she can recreate the feeling of being inside her mother’s pouch.

Mr Simmonds said although the animal can be hyper-active at times, he is still committed to helping her develop.

‘Now I have to help her adapt as she’s going through the different stages of growing up,’ he told Australian paper The Courier.

The happy kangaroo also has a cheeky side and has been known to scare shoppers by peeking out of her bag when Mr Simmonds takes her to the supermarket.
