KABUL: Russian Special Representative for Afghanistan, Zamir Kabulov called on President Hamid Karzai here on Tuesday. President Karzai said that the next president of country would maintain friendly relations with Russia.
The two leaders explored ways to enhance bilateral cooperation. They also discussed the runoff round of presidential election, which will be held on Saturday.
President Karzai said that having friendly relations with Russia was of great importance for Kabul, adding, “The next president of Afghanistan will maintain friendly ties with Russia.”
Zamir Kabulov said that Kabul and Moscow shared common interests. He added that deepening relations between the two countries was of great importance for Russia.
