Waheeda Wafa is a singer she is from Afghanistan now based in USA, recently we talked her about her life and singing and future plans….
Al-Rasub: Tell us something about your childhood , schooling college life.
Wafa: I was 9 months when I lost my father, my mother was working hard , she raised 4 children by her self. I graduated school in Rassia, then I studied 10th, 11th, 12th grades in kabul and again graduated school then I studied ECD ( early childhood development ) at chabot collage of California.
Al-Rasub: Who inspired you to become a singer .
Wafa: I always loved to sing even when I was a little child and when we had guests my grand mother was asking me to sing, and I was singing they were clapping for me, when I became young and I told them my wish that I wanted to become a singer , family got mad at me and told me not to have that wish and forget about it.
Al-Rasub: You learned singing from some one .
Wafa: My music teacher is Ustad Mahwash, she helped me, and also Qader Eshpari helped me so much, I wouldnt and couldnt be a singer without their help.
Al-Rasub: You live in a country I mean Afghanistan where singing is not easy specially when you are a woman, so what kind of difficulties you are facing.

Wafa: When I was living in Afghanistan, singing was just my wish or dream and I taught that is imposiable , I started singing in California on 2009, even I was living in USA but still I did face so much problems, all family members were not letting meeven I felt so lonely , but still didnt lose my hope.
Al-Rasub: You released your album or still planning.
Wafa: I am planing , still working on it, I have 5 songs yet,

2-Watan
3-Allah hoo
4-Ay Dil
5-Yar musafer
Al-Rasub: In how many languages you can sing.
Wafa: Farsi, russian, Indian, and will try my best to sing in Pashto too.
Al-Rasub: Who is your favourite singer.
Wafa: I have so many favorate singers, I cant choose one, they are all the best.
Al-Rasub: You performed live too, how was that experience first time.
Wafa: I didnt perform live yet
Al-Rasub: How you see the singing as a career.
Wafa: It’s not my career, its my hobby, my passion and the love that I have for it.
Al-Rasub: How you see singing future in Afghanistan.
Wafa: After so many years, finnaly Afghanistan got music classes, Afghan idol, and they are working so hard on music industry , its improving more and more .
Al-Rasub: Anyone else too in your family is in same field or you are the only one .
Wafa: None, only me.
Al-Rasub: Any memorable day of your singing career that you want to share.
Wafa: Every time when I record or making videos I enjoy it and its memorable for me. Once I was almost drawn in pacific ocean, and after a while when I had to make my vedio there on the beach, I was scared to go next to the water, I felt like again the waves going to come and take me.
Al-Rasub: How you spend your free time .
Wafa: I spend all my time with my 2 kids (6 and 8 yr old ), in the mornings when they are at the school sometimes I play harmonium and practicing my voice. At night when they sleep , i watch movies, dramas and some time read books and magazines too.
Al-Rasub: What are your future plans.
Wafa: My future plans are , to work harder, making more songs, having concerts, and learning how to play piano and guitar.
Al-Rasub: Your message for our readers .
Wafa: My message is,
