Bradley Cooper is being tipped to take over from Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones 5.

While the proposed sequel is nowhere near confirmed yet, Latino Review is reporting that the American Hustle star is top of the list of potential candidates for the role.

The site claims that the studio is looking to do a James Bond and recast the part of Dr Jones in time for a new trilogy as 71-year-old Ford might not be fit enough to pick up his whip and fedora soon.

It says: ‘Let’s be realistic, Harrison is not the box office draw he once was and he is only getting older.’

Disney secured marketing and distribution rights to future Indiana Jones films at the end of last year after reaching an agreement with Paramount Pictures.

But studio chairman Alan Horn revealed that they weren’t far along telling Variety: ‘We haven’t done anything. We don’t have a story. We need a story.’

There were even rumours that Ford’s contract for Star Wars Episode 7 included two sequels to Indiana Jones.
