SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina – More than 2,000 people have marched down Sarajevo’s streets to express support for the Palestinians in Gaza.
The crowd of mostly young people walked Friday through Sarajevo’s downtown shouting “Free, free Palestine” and carrying banners that said “Free Gaza”.
Several protesters say they were children when Sarajevo was besieged and bombed during the 1992-95 war in Bosnia and they feel obligated to react when such things happen to other people.
The crowd was joined by Palestinians living in Sarajevo.
