Arsenal are ready to make a £40million bid to sign Real Madrid play-maker Isco in the January transfer window.
The Gunners make an enquiry to sign Spain international Isco over the summer, along with Manchester City, but were told that the player was not for sale.
However, Arsenal are ready to try again in the new year, with the Daily Express reporting that Arsene Wenger will match City’s expected £40million offer.
City were seen as favourites in the race, but Wenger is keen to do business and is willing to put serious cash on the table.
