Earthquake hits several parts of Pakistan at 6.9 magnitude. May God have mercy on all of us. Stay safe and take precautions everyone.

The strong earthquake, which struck at 11:45 p.m. local time in Afghanistan, was centered about 273 kilometers (169 miles) northeast of Kabul, not far from the border with Tajikistan. It struck relatively deep below the surface, according to seismologists.

The strong earthquake, because of its strength and depth, was felt over a large area, with witnesses reporting feeling the earthquake as far away as the capital Kabul, parts of Pakistan, and India’s Haryana-Uttar Pradesh Region. It was also felt in Tajikistan.

There was no immediate word on damage or casualties, but the Afghan ministry of health said all hospitals had been put on standby. Residents in Kabul reported that electricity was out in various parts of the city, but the extent was not immediately clear.
